Point Of Care Testing Ltd (POCT Ltd), an established UK distributor of point of care testing diagnostic kits and supplier to NHS hospitals and laboratories, GP surgeries, pharmacies and other health care organisations. The company operates the National Independent Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (NIBCSP) which offers Bowel Cancer Screening to everyone regardless of age or location.
Research shows that regular health screening tests, in particular cancer screening programmes, help to reduce the number of deaths from cancer. POCT Ltd is working towards making health screening closer and more accessible to everybody by bringing in into individuals' homes. The National Independent Bowel Cancer Screening Programme offers everyone the opportunity to take a bowel cancer screening test using the world's leading faecal occult blood test - Hemoccult®.
Why Hemoccult®?
POCT Ltd selected Hemoccult® for the National Independent Bowel Cancer Screening Programme based on evaluations carried out by the Department of Health. From the findings detailed in the NHS Cancer Screening Programme evaluation report (05110)1 and the Weller Moss et al2 publication, POCT Ltd concluded that Hemoccult® is the leading Faecal Occult Blood Test on the market.

Our History
Establlished in 2006 the National Independent Bowel Cancer Screening Programme has been running successfully, providing thousands of screening tests which have contributed to the early detection of a number of cancers and neoplasia.
